- afterward supper will be served
* after 5pm – Little River Wetlands Project/Eagle Marsh Betsy Yankowiak to discuss significance of the area, invasives and wildlife
- Follow all posted signs to help you
- Save Maumee & Food NOT Bombs, Fort Wayne Chapter – to feed breakfast and supper daily
- Launching daily at 9AM daily
- Campfire water discussion nightly
- Must be at Landing by dark
- Lights-out by midnight nightly

OTHERS SHOULD PUT-IN East of Hosey Dam on Niagara Drive or DROP OFF LUGGAGE TO PORTAGE OVER HOSEY DAM : PORTAGE Hosey Dam (Fort Wayne) at Anthony Blvd. – BYO canoe for canoers who may not want to portage dam or prefer to not launch at Junk Ditch.

DIRECTIONS FOR LAND CREW: Take Scenic Route Old 24 (aka S.R. 424) to The Bend Road (aka S.R. 134)
*find signs near the north side of the Maumee River Bridge.
*parking on north side of the river and east side of The Bend Road (SR 134)
*camping on the north side of the river and west side of The Bend Road
Private Property – KEEP EVERYTHING ON THE LANE AND PLEASE DO NOT STEP ON CROPS – CONDITIONS WILL BE WET. DROP THINGS OFF (Stations will be marked) BUT DO NOT PARK THERE – PARK ACROSS THE ROAD FROM CAMP at the public parking area called “Bend Access” Riverside Park Antwerp, 35 river miles to Defiance- -south shore – City of Antwerp, OH) cannot see the points from the water
April 22 EARTH DAY Landing Tuesday

Landing: Pontiac Park – north shore – DEFIANCE OHIO FOR EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

* Upper Maumee Watershed Management Plan RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC
* City of Defiance MS4 presentation.
* Several walking destinations throughout the day.

Landing: Napoleon Municipal Park Boat Launch – (ETA: 6-7 hours) – north shore (via Napoleon Parks & Rec Tony Cotter)
Directions: heading east on W. Riverview Ave. – turn right onto BOATRAMP AVE. in Napoleon, OH 43545

April 24 Landing Thursday
Landing: Mary Jane Thurston State Park – (ETA: 6 hours) south shore – (ODNR State Parks Manager, Katie Reimund)
Land Crew directions: heading east on 1-466 State Route 65 (scenic route) McClure, OH 43534 turn left into CAMPING AREA drive straight to the river then turn left – camp there
A. Campsite Amenities: toilet – water – (electric if you pay)
B. Programs Scheduled: Service project of planting with ODNR!

*The group is expecting rapid conditions between Mary Jane Thurston State Park and Perrysburg/Maumee Ohio ~ CAUTION

April 25 Friday INFO/CAMP ALL DAY AT MARY JANE THURSTON STATE PARK
(load canoes and don’t leave the campsite)

– Maple Street will be Launching Point at 9AM Saturday the 26th for the last leg of our journey

9AM Maple Street public boat launch: Maple Street Boat Launch in Perrysburg, OH (Maple St. dead-ends into the Maumee River) EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO LAUNCH THEIR OWN BOATS WITH US at 9AM Saturday the 26th for the last leg of our journey
Landing & DESTINATION REACHED– International Park Pavilion – (ETA: 6 hours) – south shore (Rails to Trails, Toledo, Ohio)
Land Crew directions: turn into “The Docks” International Park – from Front Street OR Main Street and Richard W. Boers Dr. in Toledo, OH
